Spaan-te was a project conceived by Leo Alfa Cidadania volunteers in partnership with the Sociedade Porto-Alegrense de Apoio aos Necessitados (SPAAN), an institution that today houses over 140 elderly people. With an objective of providing a better quality of life and comfort, especially in the midst of the pandemic, Spaan—te received donations of personal hygiene products, food, clothing blankets, sheets and towels.
Together against the coronavirus
The Leo Beta Cidadania volunteers, in partnership with the Food Bank of Porto Alegre, collected donations of non-perishable food at the Beta unit to help needy families who face difficulties during the period of social isolation. In less than a month, more than a ton of food was donated to the Bank.
